ESports

Esports, short for electronic sports, is a form of video games competition in organized, multiplayer venues, both with amateurs and professionals playing individually and/or on teams. In the 1990s, video gaming transformed from a hobby into an organized competitive sport, and is a growing industry with championships and millions of spectators around the world both virtually and in esports arenas. Some people are talking about esports becoming an Olympic sport, starting in 2024 with pre-Games competitions, according to SteamUniverse.

CES is opening career and professional doors for today’s youth through Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways in high schools. CES esports curriculum takes an integrated approach to CTE educational pathways by aligning esports activities to state standards that will intentionally open career doors for all youth.

CES highschool esports curriculum integrates academic skills, social-emotional skills, and health awareness with professional skills. Our curriculum also gives youth multiple opportunities to explore their interests and talents in a wide variety of STEAM fields. For example, art and design of team logos and jerseys, hospitality and event planning and logistics for onsite tournaments, IT and programming opportunities for all aspects of virtual play and tournaments.

CES esports programs help your high school or district bridge the gap between school, esports play, and career connections so all students can see and experience multiple future possibilities.
