Jamie Valenzuela-Mumau, Ed.D., CEO & Founder

Dr. Valenzuela-Mumau is a groundbreaking educational leader with proven success in supporting the professional growth of teachers and administrators. He brings over 20 years of educational experience serving as a teacher, a site and district administrator at both elementary and secondary levels. He most recently has served as an Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services at a county level. His vast expertise along with his professional experiences and successes in improving student outcomes have prepared him to assist with meeting the needs of the educational community.


Linda Vargas Operations Manager

Linda worked for over five years with the Institute of Popular Education of Southern California overseeing 6 community centers across southern California including, Pasadena, Harbor City, Hollywood, Cypress Park, and Downtown Los Angeles. Community services included health, and ESL and adult literacy classes as well as employment opportunities for low income communities. She also worked at a TK-12 charter school system for over 6 yrs in various capacities, including supporting student enrollment and community engagement. In recent years she was responsible for the alignment, implementation, and analysis of the assessment program and oversight of student records. She used the student data systems to analyze and measure student performance over time and collaborated with all stakeholders regarding its successful use.

Scott Spector, M.Ed., VP Partnerships & Development

Scott’s educational service spans more than 30 years at various levels. In K-12 he was a middle and high school classroom educator and Assistant Principal, and the STEM Science Consultant at the California Department of Education. In higher education, Scott was Professor and Head Baseball Coach at Pasadena City College, Adjunct Faculty at California State Universities Northridge and Dominguez Hills, and Teacher Placement Supervisor at National University. In administration, Scott was the founding Principal for a STEAM Elementary Charter school, had several roles in Los Angeles Unified School District, and was the Coordinator of Innovation and Academic Events/Science Coordinator at the Santa Barbara County Education Office for the past 7 years. Scott is passionate about Project Based Learning and using science as a lever for literacy.
